With the return of the Edinburgh festival and this years delightfully warm climate it’s the perfect opportunity to have some laughs with friends and participate in unusual activity.

What to do

Edinburgh festival is one of the most exciting cultural events to take place (say no more…)! The crowds gather to this eccentric hub as the city is transformed for three weeks into a dramatic stage playing host to various international performers of all artistic styles and interests. If you’re feeling adventurous have a look at the line up. It’s an experience you won’t forget and you’re promised a good time.

Or…Countryside and beach walks are the perfect way to relax. Get away from all the action and enjoy some alone time by hiking along the scenic routes!

What to see

Visit Edinburgh castle a site with over a thousand years of history.  A volcanic rock forms the base of this dominant landmark leaving it powering over the cities streets, providing a spectacular landmark and epic sight. The city we know as Edinburgh today was constructed around the castles rocky base. This area is now known as the ‘Lawnmarket’, which joins the castle to the ‘Royal Mile’. With views of the world renowned Prices Street Gardens and The Kingdom of Fife it makes a trip to the ‘Castle of Castles ’a must providing a historical encounter that is sure to blow you away.

Differing in architecture to most of its surrounding buildings Scottish Parliaments design has been known to cause controversy amongst its local residents. It’s a must see when you visit Edinburgh, winning awards in previous years the Parliament now provides guided tours. Stay close to these historical landmarks and you’ll witness some of Edinburgh most loved attractions.

You can’t visit Scotland and not enjoy the full whiskey experience. The Amber Restaurant provides a range of malt whiskies and some of Scotland’s finest dishes made with the finest ingredients.
